Visa Application Process

Step 1: Determine the Appropriate Visa Type

Choose the visa that best matches the purpose of your visit:

Schengen Tourist Visa – for tourism, visiting family or friends, etc.

Business Visa – for attending meetings, conferences, or other business-related activities.


Step 2: Understand the Required Documents

Familiarize yourself with the documents typically required for your visa type. Our team will guide you through the necessary documents upon consultation.



Step 3: Schedule an Appointment

Book an appointment with the designated Visa Application Center or embassy/consulate.


Step 4: Complete the Application & Gather Documents

Fill out the visa application form accurately. Based on your travel purpose, we will assist you in organizing and preparing the necessary supporting documents to ensure your application is complete.


Step 5: Attend Your Appointment

Arrive on time at the Visa Application Center or embassy/consulate. Submit your application and biometric data (fingerprints and photograph), and pay the applicable visa fee.


Step 6: Track Your Application

Monitor the status of your application online using the tracking system. You’ll need your application reference number and date of birth.


Step 7: Receive Your Passport

Once processing is complete, collect your passport in person or opt for courier delivery (if available). If your visa is approved, verify that all details on the visa sticker are correct.


Step 8: Prepare for Travel

When traveling to Spain, carry all necessary documents with you. Border officers may request proof of accommodation, a return ticket, and evidence of sufficient financial means.

Two recent photographs (passport size) with white background. No staples or glue. Pictures specifications: White background, Good Printing Quality and Resolution, Full‐Face Portrait, Centered, with 4mm over the head and 8mm below the chin. Without head cover for male applicants.

Frequently asked questions

Processing usually takes 10 to 15 working days. This period may be extended in specific cases, notably when further scrutiny of the application is required.

Apply at least 15 to 20 working days before your trip but no earlier than 6 months before your travel date.

Proof of travel medical insurance covering the entire period of intended stay, valid for all Schengen States and covering any expenses which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention, emergency hospital treatment or death during the stay. The minimum coverage must be EUR 30’000.00.

No, an interview is not mandatory. Most applications are processed based on submitted documents. However, in some cases, the embassy may request an interview if they need additional information or clarification.

You must provide fingerprints and a digital photo if you haven’t given biometrics for a Schengen visa in the last 59 months.

Please request it from your current employer. Alternatively, it is downloadable from the UAE Government website.

Minor travelling with one parent/legal guardian/travelling alone: Passport, ID, Birth certificate, original authorization signed by parents/legal guardian. Copy of passports of parents/legal guardians.

Children under 12 years old are exempt from fingerprinting but still need a digital photo. Children aged 12 and above must provide full biometrics.


Payslips, a valid international credit card accompanied by a bank statement, 6 months bank statement.

Child registered in Parent’s passport.

For children registered in a parent’s passport, a separate application form has to be submitted.

 

The documents are to be presented in (or translated to) English/Spanish.


Once the application has been processed by the Spain Embassy/ Consulate General and your passport has been returned to the Visa application centre,,you will need to bring your receipt and acceptance proof with you for collection of your passport. In your absence, along with your receipt an authority letter from you in the name of your representative with his Identity proof Photo copy will be required.

The Spain Visa Application Centre can also courier your application to you as long as the address provided by you is serviceable by Courier.

If the Embassy of Spain in UAE are unable to return the application to you because they would like to request additional documents, schedule you for a personal interview or require additional time to correspond with Home Office, this update is normally sent in a letter individually addressed to the applicant, and remains at the Spain Visa Application Centre until collected by the applicant or an authorized representative.
