USA Visa Application Process
Step 1: Determine the Visa Type
Apply for a B1/B2 visa for business or tourism. The B1/B2 visa is for temporary stays in the US for business, tourism, or a combination of both
Step 2: Complete the DS-160 Form
Fill out and submit the DS-160 Online Application Form. Save the DS-160 confirmation page with the barcode
Step 3: Pay the visa fee and Schedule the Visa Appointment
Go to the official visa scheduling website for your country. Create an account and log in. Pay the appointment fee and schedule your appointment. Keep a printout of the appointment confirmation letter.
Step 4: Attend the Visa Interview at the Embassy
Dress formally and arrive on time. Bring required documents. The same day the consular officer will inform you whether your visa is approved, denied, or under administrative processing
Step 5: Visa Collection
If approved, your passport with the U.S. visa will be delivered to your address if the delivery option was availed. Or available for pickup at a designated location. Check the visa details for any errors before traveling
