Visa Application Process

Step 1: Determine the Appropriate Visa Type

Choose the visa that best matches the purpose of your visit:

Schengen Tourist Visa – for tourism, visiting family or friends, etc.

Business Visa – for attending meetings, conferences, or other business-related activities.


Step 2: Understand the Required Documents

Familiarize yourself with the documents typically required for your visa type. Our team will guide you through the necessary documents upon consultation.



Step 3: Schedule an Appointment

Book an appointment with the designated Visa Application Center or embassy/consulate.


Step 4: Complete the Application & Gather Documents

Fill out the visa application form accurately. Based on your travel purpose, we will assist you in organizing and preparing the necessary supporting documents to ensure your application is complete.


Step 5: Attend Your Appointment

Arrive on time at the Visa Application Center or embassy/consulate. Submit your application and biometric data (fingerprints and photograph), and pay the applicable visa fee.


Step 6: Track Your Application

Monitor the status of your application online using the tracking system. You’ll need your application reference number and date of birth.


Step 7: Receive Your Passport

Once processing is complete, collect your passport in person or opt for courier delivery (if available). If your visa is approved, verify that all details on the visa sticker are correct.


Step 8: Prepare for Travel

When traveling to Greece, carry all necessary documents with you. Border officers may request proof of accommodation, a return ticket, and evidence of sufficient financial means.


  • Completed Application Form

  • One recent passport size photograph

  • Original Passport valid for at least six months from intended return from Schengen. Must contain at least two sequent empty pages.

  • Copy of BHR residence visa plus  residence card (minimum validity 6 Months from the return date)

  • Confirmed Hotel reservations

  • Confirmed Flight reservation

  • Travel medical insurance

  • Bank Statement

  • Employed: Original letter from employer in Bahrain

  • Business Owners/Self Employed: valid original commercial register

  • Sponsored: Sponsorship letter and sponsor’s documents

  • One recent passport size photograph (not older than 6 months).

  • Size must be 3.5 x 4.5 cm with a white background.

  • Resemble current appearance, straight posture

  • Head covers are not permitted except for religious reasons, but facial features from bottom of chin to top of forehead and both edges of applicant´s face must be clearly shown

All documentation must be submitted in English.

Proof of travel medical insurance with a coverage of 30,000 Euros covering the entire period of intended stay, valid for all Schengen States and covering any expenses which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention, emergency hospital treatment or death during the stay.

The Embassy reserves the right to request any additional supporting documents or an interview and does not guarantee the issuance of the visa.

Original letter from employer/sponsor stating employment status, position held, date of recruitment, length of contract, whether renewable or not, salary and the purpose of trip including the contact details for the employer.

For minors (children under 18 years) travelling with one or without their parents/legal guardian: An original authorization signed by their parents/legal guardians is required and a copy of passport(s) of parents/legal guardian. Furthermore, it is required that both parents/legal guardians must be present when submitting the minor’s application and both sign the application form.

Original invitation letter signed by the host covering the intended stay. The invitation letter from the host must include the contact details and a full reference address. A copy of the passport or Residence Card.

Children under 12 years old are exempt from fingerprinting but still need a digital photo. Children aged 12 and above must provide full biometrics.
